Mauser M03 - Disassembly and Trigger Design - Update in Apr 26

Hello Mauser M03 owners and fans.

An owner has sent in an excellent photo of a disassembled M03, showing the trigger mechanism. In particular there is a close-up of the trigger spring pin in the variant with the longer head. This is the design which provides a non-variable trigger weight of 1600gm, or about 3&1/2 lbs. Solid and safe.

This is exactly the photo that's been missing from my 'Disassembly and Trigger Design' post from a few years ago. I've now added it.  Mauser M03 - Disassembly and Trigger Design  That post includes some photos of the adjustable variant of the trigger spring pin, which has a shorter head and a separate bushing, which combine to be the same length as the longer head. The small, separate bushing can be inserted onto the trigger spring pin to provide a heavier trigger pull weight. And vice-versa.

It's clear that Mauser could make and deliver M03 rifles with either of these trigger spring pin designs; with a shorter head and a bushing, or a longer head. It could be that Mauser can provide spare parts for these, allowing a gunsmith to adjust a customer's rifle. I'll update if there's news on this.

And here are some clear pics of the left and right sides of the receiver and trigger mechanism.
